Dave and Buster's

Saturday evening Aidan went with Jaxon and several friends to swim at a hotel. G has ear problems still so he couldn't go. Stephen and I decided to take G to Dave and Buster's so he could do something fun as well.

Have you been there?

On a weekend night?

Don't.

Now don't get me wrong, we had a blast playing the games. I mean watching Grant play the games. He actually was very good  at some motorcycle race game.

Motorcycle Enthusiast

We arrived and were placed on a waiting list for dinner. We played games for almost an hour before our table was ready. We finally sat down and proceeded to have some of the worst food ever.

Worse than Applebee's (my least favorite "restaurant" in the world).

And, the guys working there all have secret service agent ear pieces. I asked one why? He said you'd be surprised. Apparently there were two fights there the previous night. Who fights at a restaurant where people go to play skee ball and motorcycle race? I kind of felt like I was in an episode of Jersey Shore. Then I reviewed my outfit for the evening and realized I fit right in.....lesson learned.

PS- OSU BEAT OU on Saturday in Bedlam basketball, hence my OSU sweatshirt. Go POKES!!!!

Ashley. Jersey Shore style.

Valentine's Program

Grant had a grandparent Valentine's singing program last night. Nannie came and visited his classroom and watched him sing. Aidan was sick at home with a tummy ache. Bum deal for a candy loaded holiday. Grant made up for his candy consumption.

He sang, Y'all! He really did.

But....from the angle I was sitting, I had a hard time capturing it.

There's G in the striped sweater.

He also made a Valentine card for Nannie. And then ate the chocolate himself that was supposed to be for Nannie. Oh well...

End of the Season

Last weekend Grant's basketball season came to an end. Although he never did score during a game and was rarely passed the ball, I admire his heart and hustle to play. He had his entire family to watch him in his final game. Grandma, Nannie, Janie, Aunt Beth, Auntie Lauren, cousins Darian and Tyler and of course Stephen and me.  Aidan was busy watching the Harlem Globetrotter's with Jaxon.

Grant after the game, with his medal.

Paul's family came from Kansas to see the game.

I just realized Grant really does run just like me. Bless his sweet heart.

Sunday at the Zoo

The weather was so nice again, we went to the zoo after church on Sunday. We stopped by the Lorkeet exhibit. Notice Grant has no nectar. Every time we go in this exhibit he ends up getting bit somewhere. He's finally figured out the best way to keep the birds away is to not even try and engage in holding the nectar cup. But, as fate would have it, he got nipped. Again. Without even trying to be near one.

Stephen: The Lorkeet whisperer

He we are, NOT going in the snake building. We
waited for the boys outside. Of course they came out and
told us all about the 50 foot snake they saw. Yuck!

Sword Mania

The weather has been crazy. It's  seventy degrees one day and thirty the next. We've learned to take advantage of the warmer days.

Boys, Can you please stop so I can get a picture?

Boys, Can you all get together so I can get a picture?

Stephen: Boys. Stop. Get under the tree and take a picture.
Yea, umm, that's what I said....five times.
Stephen says it once and here's the precious photo.
