Cooking with Boys Who Wear Expensive Socks

SO, schools starts soon. Like really soon.  I was forward thinking and have gone through our needs and ordered approriate uniforms, etc. Upon receiving my order it was brought to my attention by Aidan that socks were needed.

Specific socks.

Nike Elite basketball socks. We aren't playing basketball right now, but whatever.

Okay, fine. Let's go get these socks.

Guess what? They are $15 for ONE pair. One. That's right. I'm used to $10 for 6 pairs. Not One.

Guess what else? Now Grant has to have them as well.

Wonderful.

Grant chose Pink and White ones....????

See that stuff on my floor? That's due to the cat, who I can truthfully
admit is crazy. He bites everything, chasing people all over the house
and plays with Walmart bags and paper towels and
drags them all over the house.

And, since Stephen has been at work, I have get to cook every night. The good news is.....

I've been doing well. The children are eating it and liking it, and more importantly, so is my husband. He EVEN took left overs to work for lunch, which means he wasn't just being nice like he normally is.

Monday I made Ree Drummond's (Pioneer Woman) Sour cream noodle bake. It sounds weird, but is great and it's super easy and fast to make. ***

Last night was Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp (also Ree's..just love her)

Tongith, however, is Chelino's night, so I'm off for a day.

***Since when did I become so lame and blog about cooking? Clearly I've gone over the edge.

  1. You have not gone over the edge! You are a good mom and you are doing a good job cooking for those boys! By the way, the sour cream noodle bake is one of our top favorites! It is yummy!

  2. Your boys look so lovely wearing the white socks and the yellow ones. I just love wearing brightly coloured socks too! I don't wear slippers or shoes in my house. I go around every day in socks. One reason is thatt other people can see them in full. The other is that my feet feel better in them, rather than shoved in slippers or shoes to get hot and sweaty.

The soles of my socks do get grubby, but hey...that doesn't matter! :-)
